Public Meeting Details
Tri-State's goal has been to inform the public about its resource requirements and guidelines. Tri-State staff members presented numerous alternative scenarios that were recommended by the public participants and reflected a range of growth rates, resource costs, capital costs, types of generation resources, energy efficiency programs, levels of emissions, water usage and other considerations. The various scenarios were compared on the basis of cost, environmental characteristics and other factors.
Tri-State held a series of seven public meetings that took place over a 12-week period in the summer of 2010 and involved nearly 100 individuals. The G&T conducted the public participation process to solicit input on its 2010 Resource Plan that it is required to file with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission this fall and also to the Western Area Power Administration in early 2011.
Copies of all presentation materials, summaries and public comments are included in the final 2010 Electric Resource Plan.
You may email comments to ResourcePlanning@tristategt.org.
This resource process meets the association's regulatory compliance obligations and produces data that informs Tri-State's business strategy development.
